Noongar Relationships Committee

The Noongar Relationships Committee (NRC) is the main connection between the seven Noongar corporations and the Trust.

What does the NRC do?

  • Provides a forum to review the Trustee's obligations to the corporations under the Trust Deed

  • Reviews the central services corporation's services to Regional corporations

  • Discusses general administrative and operational matters of the Noongar corporations

The Trustee must consult the NRC on:

  • Accessing income or capital from the Noongar Future Fund

  • Allocating proceeds from development land activities

  • Appointing representatives on the nominations committee

  • The Trustee's compliance with the Trust Deed

  • How the Trustee deals with traditional laws and customs

  • Preparing the Trustee Expense Budget

  • Code of conduct and policies & procedures manual

  • Strategic review of the Trust

  • Making any changes to the Trust Deed

The NRC has up to 17 members:

  • The chairs and CEOs of the seven Noongar corporations (the members of the NCC), and

  • 3 directors of the Noongar Advisory Company:

    • 1 Trustee director

    • 1 independent director

    • 1 Noongar community representative
