The Noongar Nominations Committee manages the selection process for board and committee positions within the Noongar Boodja Trust.

What does the NNC do?

  • Manages selection processes for the Investment Committee and Noongar Advisory Company

  • Oversees appointment processes for Noongar corporation boards

  • Screens board candidates to ensure eligibility

  • Reviews candidates to confirm they:

    • Are not disqualified under relevant laws

    • Have a solid track record on boards and committees

    • Are of good standing

  • Assesses expert director candidates for specific expert skills

  • Makes recommendations to regional corporation boards for expert director appointments

The committee has 6 members:

  • 1 Trustee representative (who is the chair)

  • 1 Noongar Relationship Committee representative

  • 2 Noongar community representatives with board/directorship experience

  • 2 independent persons with board/directorship experience

No member of this committee can serve as a director or member of any other Noongar Trust committees, or corporations.
