Noongar Boodja Trust
The Noongar Corporations
The six Noongar regional corporations and the central services corporation exist to realise the aspirations of the Noongar community that are intrinsically linked to Boodja (country), Kaarditjin (culture) and Moort (community).
Noongar Boodja Trust funds can’t be distributed to individuals. The Trust can only provide money, property or benefits to these seven Noongar corporations.
Regional corporations
The six Noongar regional corporations were created to represent the Noongar Community across the Settlement area. Each corporation represents one of the six Noongar regions and exists to speak for its members on matters arising from the Settlement.
Together, the regional corporations form the foundation of the Noongar governance framework. They receive funding, land, and support through the Settlement and play a key role in decisions about how benefits are used to deliver cultural, social, and economic outcomes for Noongar people.
The regional corporations also work collectively through a shared governance structure, ensuring Noongar voices are heard, cultural responsibilities are upheld, and benefits are managed for current and future generations. Through this structure, the Settlement supports a strong, united, and self‑determined Noongar Nation.
Central services corporation
A central service supports the Settlement by delivering a range of administrative, corporate, financial, and unique services to the six Noongar regional corporations.
The South West Aboriginal Land and Sea Council (SWALSC) is the central services corporation for the South West Native Title Settlement.
