Noongar Investment Committee

The Noongar Investment Committee (NIC) manages investments for the Noongar Boodja Trust.

Its key responsibilities include:

  • Developing the investment policy

  • Consulting with the NCC, NAC, and WA Government on investment matters

  • Selecting and reviewing investment managers

  • Assessing and arranging sales or development of properties in the Development Land Fund

Who can be a member?

Members are appointed by the Trustee. They must have proven knowledge and expertise in investment management and/or property development.

The NIC has 7 members:

  • One Trustee representative (who is the chair)

  • Two NCC representatives (who may or may not be Noongar people, but must have 5+ years investment or property development experience)

  • Four independent persons (nominated by Trustee on the recommendation of the nominations committee):

    • Two with 5+ years experience in significant property transactions

    • Two with 5+ years investment experience managing funds over $500 million
