Boodja
Noongar Land Estate
The Noongar Land Estate was created to support the long term social, cultural, environmental and economic aspirations of the Noongar people.
This collective asset belongs to the Noongar Boodja Trust, which will contribute to the prosperity, strength and wellbeing of the Noongar Nation now and long into the future.
Cultural Land Fund
The Noongar Boodja Trust holds culturally significant land in the Cultural Land Fund, to protect and build an enduring legacy for future generations.
Cultural land will be the foundation for the Noongar Nation, strengthening connection to Boodja, preserving cultural heritage, and supporting cultural practices and knowledge transfer to future generations.
Uses of Cultural Land
Cultural land may have a broad range of uses for Noongar social, cultural and economic benefit, and the regional corporation’s strategic aspirations.
The regional corporation is responsible for deciding what happens on cultural land, as long as all statutory requirements are met, including the requirements of the ILUA.
Development Land Fund
The Development Land Fund is a sub fund of the Noongar Land Estate, with the purpose of generating positive financial returns for the Noongar Boodja Trust and the regional corporations.

Future Fund
The Future Fund is a long-term investment fund established as part of the South West Native Title Settlement. It reflects a commitment to thinking beyond the present and investing in a future where Noongar people continue to thrive, lead and determine their own future.

The South West Native Title Settlement has a governance framework that balances representation, expertise, accountability and long-term stewardship.
RC Director Criteria
